The Three Stages of Anger
Anger is an emotional state that can be caused by many different factors including; Physical pain, disturbance by an external object or being, a mental disorder, bruised pride, or a fear of something.
It can be described as a strong feeling of displeasure, annoyance or hostility.
If a person becomes angry it is quite possible that it can lead to, physical violence which can damage others, or theme self. Someone suffering from anger may have; raised blood pressure, increased heart rate and an increased breathing rate.
There are three main stages of anger, miffed, aggravated and destructive. These make up the MAD stages of anger. These can be used to measure or judge the level at which somebody is angry.
*MUSIC*
M, stands for miffed. Somebody who is in this stage of anger would be slightly annoyed or agitated. A person who is in this stage can be identified by a mild expression of displeasure on their face and in some cases, redness in the face and the regular use of sarcasm and passive aggressiveness. Luckily someone in this stage is unlikely to cause any physical damage to others or things around them.
*MUSIC*
A, stands for aggravated. Somebody who is in this stage of anger is very annoyed and mildly aggressive. Somebody in this stage can be identified by a raise in their heart rate, heavy breathing, dirty/mean facial expressions and quick violent movements. A person in this stage can quickly elevate to the next stage, so converse to this person with caution.
*MUSIC*
D, stands for destructive. This is the most uncommon stage but causes more destruction than the other two stages combined. A person who is in this stage of anger can be identified by dramatic loud yelling, threatening body language, extremely red face, very heavy breathing and of course destruction to things or others around them. People in this stage can be capable of extremely gruesome thing. It is best to avoid somebody in this stage because it is very hard to calm them down or control them.

It’s important to remember not to retaliate to someone who is angry, it is best to calmly approach these incidents carefully, without reacting violently yourself.
